This book just did not meet my expectations .To me a "Bible" might be something one might turn to again and again. Perhaps if the Author had included a little more bread making "method" I would have liked it better.It is very short and does not have a lot of recipes. Not only are there very few recipes, about half of them do not even have American measurements.
I must admit I bought it because I like Beth Hensperger. The only thing the book has going for it is a great title and fancy marketing. My old Joy of Cooking had more bread making tips than this one. Sorry but I would "pass" on this one.

I removed from my device after a couple of days. I have many books on baking bread and the recipes were in metric and suggested flours that are not available in the U. S.
I've found the book to be okay.
This book is good. My house is about to turn into a serious bakery. I love the simplicity. Highly recommended

This book is terrible,inconsistent,and has alot of unauthentic recipes.As a baker for 30 + years the one thing that must be followed is consistency in measurement,and this bookis an abortion.some recipes state grs.and some gms for quantities of dry ingredients or wet,some use cups some use ml.Wtf ?since when does italian bread use malt flavoring and milk ? you can make it that way but don't call it Italian bread.If I could give this a negative star I would.It's a cheap paperback not worth the paper its written on..Garbage..
